One number you should...

Uniformity. It is one of the most important requirements concerning the quality of signage. However, it is not so common to know, that uniformity depends not only on correct spacing of modules. The quality of light plays an important role as well. That is why MacAdam steps must be taken into consideration when making white-illuminated signs.

If you care about the quality, uniformity of the project you should consider using only modules with 3 MacAdam (SDCM) steps or less. 4 SDCM and above can produce white color with blueish and yellowish spots in projects.

MacAdam steps correlate with the purity of white light color. For example, 6500 K with 3 SDCM translates to 6500 ± 150 K, 6500 K with 4 SDCM will result in 6500 ± 200 K.

Crown OPTO X and Crown OPTO S families, Crown MINI feature pure white: 3 SDCM. This is the reason why with our LED modules you will have pure white signs.
